3 april days in Barcelona, 2 blond girls, too much spanish male attention, no Spanish skills, best oranges in the world, lots of colours, spacious beach, sunburn and 220euros less on my card.
My best advice is to by a 3day metro card (or how many days you are there)- coz the city is big and there are lots to see! it costs 15 euros and is worth it if you like your feet. And be realllllly careful with your wallets etc because there are loads of pickpockets, especially in metro..
The best things about Barcelona were: the beach!!
Comfortable sand, and sleepless night resulted in an urge to take a nap on the beach.. BUT the nice sleep was interrupted every 3 minutes by thai women “hola masaje?” (offering massages, selling beach towels etc etc etc) here they are
Barcelona is the place where I had the best oranges ever-sweet juicy and big! and loads of other fruits.. I bought them on Las Ramblas (a busy tourist street in the city center) in the Mercat de la Boqueria and in Carrefour shop. Las Ramblas is very interesting pedestrian street – with mimes, colourful market and weird bird market, which sells chickens, parrots, pigeons etc.. Oh and also try sangria in one of the cafes on Las Ramblas -the best!!! (probably because of the sweet oranges). an of course ICE CREAM – yes, i know i have addiction- and if you have one too – go to Amorino gelato in Las Ramblas ;)
The colourful buildings and impressive architecture. This is Gaudi’s Park Guell (20min steep hill walk from Lesseps Metro line 3). Many pathways, colorful sculptures and mosaics and you also get a nice view of the city.
Park Ciutadella is agreat place to take long walks and take amazing pictures.
Montjuic is a hill overlooking the city. I just really liked the view towards Plaça d’Espanya.. :P there is also the 1992 Olympic stadium and museun of the catalunya art.
