Køge – quiet danish beach town

Køge is a cute and quiet little town about 40km South from Copenhagen. It is easy to get there in 45min from downtown Copenhagen by E line S-train (S-tog in Danish) – and remember every first Sunday of the month the S-trains are free ;)  In cold winter days like this it is nice to remebmer the walks by the beach on a warm summer evenings..

Køge has a well-preserved old town centre with many half-timbered houses. The town was established in 12th century so it has many cute houses and a big market square which is the largest town square in Denmark outside Copenhagen and the largest and best-preserved medieval town square in Denmark.

It is a very peaceful town.. perfect for a cute little get-away and long walks by the beach :)

Another thing I noticed were the beautiful houses by the coast
