sailing in New York City

The best way to start 2012 was to see the big apple from the Hudson River

Great weather for a 1st January sail and amazing views of Downtown Manhattan from the boat

We started in Jersey City, picked up most people from Manhattan and sailed toward the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The Ellis Island Immigration Museum is part of the Statue of Liberty National Monument.

I can’t believe I have been living here 4 months and have not made million posts about NYC. Well the city has been keeping me busy. Bus as I just got a new camera – expect some more posts soon.

NYC is beautiful – will never get tired of taking pictures of it

We sailed by the Statue of Liberty. There is a very interesting project  – the Light of Liberty.  The goal is to light in perpetuity the TORCH using renewable green solutions that have no carbon footprint.

Enjoying the views by the Statue of Liberty
